One More Aquarium Pic and some family stuff....

Grandma and Grandpa came to the Aquarium with us.
I hope my Uncle Sam is feeling better. He was in a car crash earlier in the week. No major injuries, but his knee and head and neck were hurt a little bit. I'm praying for you, Uncle Sam!
And the injury hit list keeps on running.
Sometimes being one is not much fun. This week I fell in the bathtub and chipped my tooth ("thank goodness for baby teeth" - that's what Daddy says) - and then yesterday I fell down the stairs and gave myself a fat lip and more bruises. Boy, am I a mess!
So, everybody think happy thoughts for me. It looks like this next year is going to be a bumpy ride....
Bye - I love you,
Sophia

Georgia Aquarium

You can visit the Aquarium online HERE.
It's so cool. Especially the beluga whales.
I like the word "beluga".
Here are some other words I like:
Beluga
Bulbous Bouffant
Blubber
Galoshes
Gazebo
Mukluk
Macademia
Sorry. The Aquarium is cool. LArgest in the world, in fact. And air conditioned.
Bye - I love you!

We went to Provino's - and I got to ride in my car seat facing forward for the first time. It was cool. I pretended I was driving like Mommy. Vrooom! At Provino's we had a birthday dinner with Mom and Dad and Grandpa and Grandma and Grandpa Tom. I had Spaghetti and Marinara, Garlic Bread, Salad and ICE CREAM!!!!
ICE CREAM!!!!!
WOO HOO!

I'm one year old!!!!!
Oh my goodness! I'm a big girl now.
My Daddy says I'm still a baby, but what does Daddy know, right?
So many cool things happened for my birthday.
The best was having my Grandpa and Grandma come to visit from Illinois. We had a lot of fun. They read stories to me, they took me out to eat, and to the Aquarium and took naps with me. They could only stay for a few days - and I miss them already. Come back soon, Grandma and Grandpa!
We had a big party on Sunday the 6th, the day before my real birthday. Lots of people came to visit. Cheryl and Sabrina and Connor. Denise and Mary and Tony and Alana. Alison and Jeanne (Rowan was in Asheville). Louie and Christina. Curtis and Scott (although Scott didn't show up until after I was in bed...) Kevin and Dee and Loren Lei and Ann. Rob and Katy and Ella Marie came down from Asheville! Yay! Grandma and Grandpa and Grandpa Tom and Mom and Dad and ME!!
We had lots of snacks and everyone had their own individual star-shaped cheesecake that Mommy made special for my birthday. Mom also made her famous ginger-lemonade-champagne punch. I think Daddy had a lot of that - his face was all red!
We played with my parachute and drew pictures with my sidewalk chalk.
I got lots of cool presents - books and toys and books and clothes and books. And books. They're my favorite!
Here are some pictures - I'll post more in a little bit...
Bye - I love you,
Sophia

The Beach! The Beach!
Boardwalk fries with lots of salt and vinegar
Riding bicycles three blocks to the beach in the morning
Swimsuits full of sand
Maryland sweet corn and Chesapeake Bay blue crabs
Boogieboards and body surfing
Sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean
Friends and Family
Outdoor showers all week
Suntan lotion and a cooler full of snacks and drinks
Beach towels, beach umbrellas, beach chairs and being a beach bum
Softshell crab sandwiches
Sandcastles vs. the inevitable high tide
Waterpark, amusement park and plenty of places to park the van
Latenight walks on the beach listening to the crashing waves
Oh my.
Wish you were here - I love you!

Blueberries!
They're my FAY-VO-RITE! I like to eat them with every meal. I can eat an entire pint in one day, but Daddy and Mommy usually won't let me do that.
I wrote a song about blueberries. Want to hear it? Here it goes:
Blueberries
Blueberries, blueberries
I like you better than cherries
I'd try to give you up
But that would be too hard.
Blueberries, blueberries
A great flavor for Ben and Jerry's
And this year for Halloween
I'll go as Violet Beauregard!

Bethany Beach, DE

We're leaving Sunday for the beach. Grandpa and Mom and Dad and me and Mary and Tony are driving up. We're staying at the Mulry's house. Gerry and Korina and Christy and Josie will be there, as will Denise and Alana. Lots of other relatives will be in and out all week. On Wednesday night, Uncle Gerry sez there will be 28 people at the house! I can't wait to meet all of my relatives. Yay!
Bye, I love you!
