The Beach! The Beach!

Boardwalk fries with lots of salt and vinegar

Riding bicycles three blocks to the beach in the morning

Swimsuits full of sand

Maryland sweet corn and Chesapeake Bay blue crabs

Boogieboards and body surfing

Sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean

Friends and Family

Outdoor showers all week

Suntan lotion and a cooler full of snacks and drinks

Beach towels, beach umbrellas, beach chairs and being a beach bum

Softshell crab sandwiches

Sandcastles vs. the inevitable high tide

Waterpark, amusement park and plenty of places to park the van

Latenight walks on the beach listening to the crashing waves

Oh my.

Wish you were here - I love you!

Blueberries!

They're my FAY-VO-RITE! I like to eat them with every meal. I can eat an entire pint in one day, but Daddy and Mommy usually won't let me do that.

I wrote a song about blueberries. Want to hear it? Here it goes:

Blueberries

Blueberries, blueberries

I like you better than cherries

I'd try to give you up

But that would be too hard.

Blueberries, blueberries

A great flavor for Ben and Jerry's

And this year for Halloween

I'll go as Violet Beauregard!

Bethany Beach, DE

We're leaving Sunday for the beach. Grandpa and Mom and Dad and me and Mary and Tony are driving up. We're staying at the Mulry's house. Gerry and Korina and Christy and Josie will be there, as will Denise and Alana. Lots of other relatives will be in and out all week. On Wednesday night, Uncle Gerry sez there will be 28 people at the house! I can't wait to meet all of my relatives. Yay!

Bye, I love you!

Things I like to do during the summer, in Georgia...

Swimming
Playing catch with Daddy
Going up and down the slide at the park
Riding in my wagon
Riding on Mommy's hip or Daddy's shoulders
Playing with my cousins and neighborhood friends
Reading books
Listening to music
Climbing up and down the stairs
Walking!
Feeding Coop (our dog) from my highchair
Playing with crayons or markers or sidewalk chalk
Going to the beach (next week! woo hoo!)
Going to cookouts at friends' houses
Listening to Mommy and Daddy sing and play music with their friends
Dancing
Clapping my hands
Watching Sesame Street
Gettig dirty, and then --
Taking baths (no - really - I like taking baths!)
Playing in my room
Eating, eating, eating.

Happy Father's Day (I know, it's a little late...)

Here's a picture of me and Mommy and Grandpa and Uncle Kevin. We had ice cream cake. Yay!

Bye - I love you,
Sophia

I fought the markers, and the markers won.

Don't you dare laugh....

This was my daddy's high chair, too - back in 1975. Now grandpa feeds ME ice cream in the high chair. That's cool!

I love you,
Sophia
